The Kids’ Christmas Program was a big hit as the children brought the spirit of the season alive with songs and verses about the savior’s birth. We enjoyed a party downstairs afterwards and want to say a special word of thanks to all the families who participated. It was a wonderful production, and we hope you enjoyed watching it as much as we enjoyed sharing the good news of Jesus’s birth with you!

Caroling was led by Linda Blankshain through downtown Long Grove mid-December on a nice cool, crisp Saturday afternoon. We were able to go into as many shops & local businesses as we could. The store clerks and owners were happy to sing along as we entertained the shoppers. We look forward to doing this again next December & we hope you’ll plan to join us & bring your family & friends!

Jeff Ewing & I took 10, 4-6th graders to Arctic Blast at Camp Timber-Lee in Wisconsin last February and had a wonderful time sledding, tobogganing, playing games and worshipping. We learned Romans 12:2 "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, not be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will." The camp fed us all our favorite foods & let us hold all the reptiles & critters at the nature center. We look forward to going again!

We visited many of the sights around Australia & learned so much: The Great Barrier Reef, Uluru National Park, Sydney Opera House & Harbor & so much more! We studied a different critter each day & rotated to our 5 sites: Bible, Games, Missions, Crafts & Snacks, and each site had an exciting story or activity to do. Our weekly verse was Psalm 104:24 "How Many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures!" Thank you to all the families who came and all the leaders who served to make it possible! The youth were incredible too and we couldn’t have done it without your help! Hats off to Linda Blankshain for an amazing week!

We have 4 classes of children operating every Sunday during the worship service at 10 am. We staff a nursery for 0-23 months, a preschool class for ages 2–5-year-olds, a Kindergarten – 2nd grade class & a 3-5th grade class. Each class is staffed with awesome teachers and fabulous helpers and populated with a wonderful bunch of little people who are taught the Word of God. We use Lifeway's Gospel Project curriculum, and we teach the story of the Bible: God’s redemptive plan through Jesus Christ our Savior. We are always looking for leaders.
