Our Ministry Team

  • Dell Modder

    Senior PASTOR

Dell was born and raised in Michigan where he lived until he joined the military in 1999. Following nearly a decade of service in the US Army, he attended North Central University in Minneapolis, MN and later completed a B.S. degree in Religion at Liberty University in 2014. His job would eventually lead him to the Middle East with his family in tow. While there, God led Dell to successfully plant a church with a handful of people where he served as Lead Pastor for three and a half years seeing it grow from a few faithful to an active and thriving church. After 9 years there, the Modder family returned home to the States in the Spring of 2019 where Dell began prayerfully considering where God might have his next assignment. Eventually, Dell and his family discovered a church in Long Grove, Illinois that was in search of a new Senior Pastor and in March of 2020, the members of Long Grove Community Church affirmed the call on Dell to become the next Senior Pastor. Dell and his wife, LiAna, have been married since 2001 and are actively raising four boys.

Santiago Valentin, was born in Chicago. From 1988-1992 he served in the Marines. When he returned home he began studying to become a teacher when God called him into ministry. He graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a BA in Pastoral Studies in 2002 and has an MA in Christian Leadership and an MDiv in Chaplaincy from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served with Youth for Christ as an Area Director for Chicago and other youth ministries for 17 years. He has served as a lead pastor for ten years.

Currently, Santiago serves with Pinnacle Ministries, a ministry that develops healthy churches and healthy pastors since 2012. Since 2014 he has been serving as a chaplain with Corporate Chaplains of America.

He is married to his wonderful wife Angie, together they have 5 children, ages 9-29.

Cindy has been a member and serving on staff since 2010.  She is married and has four children and is passionate about helping other families train up Godly children. She enjoys sharing her parenting struggles with others as a means to come alongside of other families to learn from and encourage one another.  "Serving in the children's ministry of LGCC is personally shaping me into the kind of mother I want to be and helps me learn the on-the-job skills I need to be more effective in my role at home."  Cindy enjoys meeting people and making others feel as welcome to LGCC as she was the first Sunday she visited with her family.

Luke started attending and playing guitar at LGCC in 2011.  In the spring of 2013 he was hired as the Director of Worship and Arts. Also, in 2013, Luke married his high school sweetheart Katie. He graduated from Taylor University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s of Music in Jazz Guitar. Luke has always enjoyed leading people in worship since he was in high school, and is excited to serve the Lord through music.

Amanda started attending LGCC in middle school after being invited by a friend.  Since that time she has faithfully served in various ministries around the church, including youth, outreach, fellowship, AV, and wherever else she was needed.  In 2019 the congregation of LGCC affirmed her as the first female elder of the church.  Amanda has a MA in Leadership from Trinity International University, and a BA from Columbia College Chicago.  Prior to joining the staff of LGCC, she served as the Media Services Manager at Trinity International University.

Holly joined our staff in May 2016 as Secretary and has been a member of our church since 1993. Before that, she volunteered in her children’s Christian school for over 12 years and was a stay-at-home mom. Holly received a BA from Valparaiso University and a BS from Dayspring Bible College. She loves answering the phone, has a passion for our Fest Parking Ministry, and will greet you with a huge smile.
